Inovasi Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) Dalam Peningkatan Layanan Akademik di Universitas Pattimura

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has brought significant changes to the management of higher education, including administration and academic services. Pattimura University, one of the public universities in Indonesia, has adapted to the digital era by implementing and improving the Academic Information System (SIAKAD). This innovative solution is a strategic step towards the efficient, transparent, and able to meet the needs of academic activities quickly and accurately. SIAKAD plays an important role in smoothing out various academic activities, such as filling out the Study Plan Card (KRS), evaluating lecturers, providing grades, and disseminating academic information online. Furthermore, the implementation of SIAKAD supports the application of good university governance principles based on information technology. However, the success of this innovation still requires the support of competent human resources, adequate digital infrastructure, and ongoing system updates to adapt to global technological development. Therefore, the innovation of SIAKAD at Pattimura University is not just an administrative tool, but an integral part of digital transformation aimed at improving the quality of academic services and strengthening the competitiveness of universities in the modern era.
